The analysed region corresponds to the displayed section or to the region between the cursors. For long regions, analysis is performed in smaller windows and then averaged. The size of the maximum analysis window size may be selected by a menu option.
When the filter response graph is displayed, formant frequencies are extracted and displayed in the toolbar and in the Formants Table.
-I Identify program and exit.
-i item Select first item matching item specification.
-G opt Control of spectrogram display. Argument is made from these letters: 'S' = display speech signal, 'W' = display wideband, 'N' = display narrowband. This applies to all speech items displayed.
-D Display only. Do not allow recording to operate within program.

Signal/Configure Analysis Sets the size of the analysis window. When large sections of the signal are analysed, the signal is broken up into sections of this size and the resulting analyses averaged.
View/Formants Table Displays the frequencies and bandwidths of the spectral peaks found in the LPC analysis used to plot the filter response.
View/Harmonics Table Displays the frequencies and amplitudes of the most significant spectral peaks in the signal spectrum.
